IntelliFlux Controls, Inc. receives U.S. Patent for Intelligent Fluid Filtration Management System
Newport Beach, CA – IntelliFlux Controls, Inc. (IFC) extends its patent portfolio with the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 11,401,172 on Aug 2, 2022 for Intelligent Fluid Filtration Management System. This patent provides IFC exclusive rights to a patented, new approach to optimize maintenance and management of filtration systems in all types of processing and manufacturing.
Joining a previous patent granted in 12 territories globally, this issuance extends IFC’s effort toward creating a more efficient and sustainable process for industries like water and wastewater treatment, food & beverage manufacturing, Oil and Gas production, as well as all other industries employing water in their manufacturing process.

Filter clogging (“fouling”) is a major operational challenge for filtration technologies and those operators that utilize and maintain them. Additionally, it decreases the life of the filter. Most filters are maintained based on manufacturer suggested schedule and cleaning recipes, which may or may not account for other factors impacting the process. They utilize pre-determined frequency, intensity, duration of maintenance, and chemical dosing – and cannot adapt in real time to influent quality and operating condition excursions or upsets. These filters can be protected by APRICOTTM against such upsets. Using IFC’s patented solutions, filtration systems can be optimized for energy, water, cleaning chemicals, filter media, cartridge, or membrane savings by analyzing data from the entire process to determine the optimal frequency, intensity, and duration of each maintenance process.
